sleep study, the third...
After seeing fuzcat's example, I meant to bring my camera in, and forgot.

After getting my 22 or so leads hooked up to head, chest, legs, and the DAMN PAINFUL AND DISTRACTING O2 SENSOR on the finger, and getting wrapped up in gauze so I didn't pull the leads out, I'm sure I was quite a sight.

Leroy, the polysomnographer, didn't have to wake me up in the middle of the night for titration...which means THE LAUP WORKED, I NO LONGER HAVE SLEEP APNEA!.

Yay Dr. Aroesty, and yay prettypammie for urging me to do something about it.

Just yay.

Congratulations! Woohoo! I know you are glad to be rid of the CPAP! I'm sure the weight loss helped, too.

lord_keeper still uses his CPAP. I'd love for him to be able to get to the doctor and find out if more could be done to help him. And, unfortunately, his CPAP is not putting out as much air as it used to. I can feel a difference in the output, so he cranked it all the way up. :P Trying to get in contact with an old friend who recently was able to free himself of his CPAP (due to weight loss) and see what it would take for him to part with it, if he still has it. But so far no word from his ex... he's recently separated and the last email address I had for him no longer works. :P

and also check the hose connections, make sure it's not leaking somewhere...

well, best bet would be to actually get a study done, etc...but, I know that's not so easy given the insurance situation.

I don't begrudge the CPAP, because I think in many ways even though it was annoying, it helped me get on the road to dieting and exercising again...that little bit of extra energy makes a difference...and diet and exercise help with better sleep; and better sleep, diet and exercise helps with weight loss; which helps with sleep apnea; which helps you get better sleep...

you get the idea...
