One sign: this, my 3rd Arisia, I did not earn enough hours--even though I was notionally staffing events--to earn a t-shirt, let alone be comped for next year. I did at least provide very nominal assistance to both people I promised to..I took a shift at registration first thing on Saturday, and took one of the hard-to-fill masquerade jobs manning the service elevator between the green room and the stage. (For those on my friends list not familiar with cons and masquerades, the Masquerade is an event which is one of the centerpieces of many conventions--a large number of people attend in person; many more watch it over Hotel CCTV, when that is an option.) So
Okay, I'm sick..I'm tired...I'm....going to bed.
Full report on the morrow...probably friends-only...but I'm a friendly sort. I've added a few Arisians that I already knew, but didn't know were on LJ. I added a few folks that I just met this year who also have LJ accounts, and so on and so forth. Welcome to the silliness.
