I didn't have time to blog it this morning, but...|
Yep...got up, made the run, made cheesy scrambled eggs for our guests [and non-cheeesy for Q, who was not feeling adventurous]. No eggs for me, thank you. I'll cook them for friends and family. But eat them? Have you seen what those things look like when you crack the shell? That's quite alright, I'll pass.
Anyway, I made almost the whole first mile at a decent pace, but the return trip I was starting to gimp a little. Pam left for work earlier than usual, so I even got a bonus kiss en passant from this really cute lady in a toyota_prius. The whole trip still took me and Coal close to an hour, but the longer continuous stint is a good sign. I'm already starting to reacclimatize to running and getting my "wind" back.

No eggs? They are cheap protein.

I guess I just have expensive tastes.
Seriously, I've never liked them since I was a kid.

Re: I guess I just have expensive tastes.
I like chicken eggs and quail eggs. I even like Tobiko (flying fish eggs). I'm trying to eat protein with every meal to build muscles. Trying, being the operative word since around tea time, I usually have tea and a scone.
Do you eat cake? Most cake batter looks pretty gross, as does cookie dough. In fact, lots of things look pretty unappetizing when raw.
Please understand I'm not saying you're "wrong" to not eat eggs. I'm just trying to understand your point-of-view is all.

Eggs, to me...
look unappetizing when cooked.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with you...you...egg eaters....it's just not for me.

Re: Eggs, to me...
I ENTIRELY agree about eggs. I can only sometimes force myself to eat the scrambled kind, and generally I can eat them in a bacon egg and cheese biscuit type sammich. But the way most people eat eggs, I can't do it, and it's sad, because they're such cheap protein and easy breakfast food. I can cook them very well, I just can't eat them at all.
Reading about you exercising has guilted me into going out jogging myself. I can't believe how out of shape I've gotten. Just means I gotta run more. 8)
