House Construction: The After Pictures
At long last, prettypammie has declared the house cleaned up and decorated enough for us to post our pictures.  There are 46 thumbnails behind the cut, click-through to enjoy the larger-sized versions.  For those of you who want to just go directly to the scrapbook album, you may click here.

Speaking of the scrapbook album, there are new kitty pictures in the "Pets" album and new barn construction pictures in a new Barn album.  Feel free to both visit and bookmark http://pics.livejournal.com/happypete/?sort=recent, as that view will show the recently updated galleries.

[BTW:  After you look at pictures, if you are so moved, please go to http://community.livejournal.com/suggestions/658886.html and throw in a "me-too" on my latest idea for LJ if you like it].

Ok, I'm officially jealous. that's gorgeous!
:-)

Someday we'll settle down. Someday I'll have a *home!* sniffle.
Someday my books will all come out of boxes to settle happily on shelves, my pictures will hang on the wall, my dulcimer, guitar, drums... can all have a place to stay out... oh the dreams I have!!!

Looks wonderful!

Did you get the e-mail I sent you the other day, BTW?

I did not! My spam filter seems to be getting a voracious appetite! I do try to skim it to make sure not to let anything accidentally get eaten but sometimes I think I miss people. Probably that's what happened. I've been diligently adding people who get caught to my address book (I used to have a nice fat address book but since the reinstall I haven't got everyone in yet).
Sorry! I'll keep an eye out for it this time.

This is the first time in the almost ten years

..that we've been together, that all our books have been together in one place.

It was quite a happy day!

Yeah! Book rejoicing!!
I look forward to that day.
That plus the lovely antique furniture I have patiently sitting in storage for over ten years now. This spring we cull a LOT of stuff in prep for a move one way or another.

Ah well that's the big question!!
We're starting by making a list of "high tech work centers" and then comparing them against a lot of other stuff including (but not limited to)
proximity to cohousing, proximity to people we know (especially fannish people), proximity to music scenes (early music and folk especially), proximity to good alternative schools I can teach at and/or terrific public schools... etc.

It's a really hard decision but we are so sick of moving and we have time to think this through finally. We have to move this summer one way or the other so even if we decide to stay in VT permenently or just another year we have to move out of our duplex. Blech.

Yeah, that's important... I hope you aren't in serious risk of having to live in the woods!

The barn is looking good too! It has a basement for your tractor? How cool is that?

Was that my cooktop I spotted in addition to my faucet? I noticed the double oven as well. Very cool.
