Accepting Reality -- LA Con IV Memberships for sale
Given our near zero leave balance, the fiscal "challenge" caused by moving and building a house, and the fact that one of my cousin's is getting married in Idaho two weeks after the con, LA Con IV is out for us.

Two adults memberships (class "A," attending), one child ("K). The LA Con rules say Q'- membership does not come with voting rights, but I am not certain of that; I believe I cast a "no-preference" ballot on his behalf in '03, which should make him a supporting member of LA Con.

According to LA Con's web-site, the current "going rate" for these memberships is $175 for mine and Pam's and $50 for Q's until 1 July, when they may go up. Make us an offer.

Current Mood: disappointeddisappointed

Hi! I'm read this through D'Glenn's Friends page; we have a bunch of friends in common, but I'm not sure if we;ve met. Sorry to hear you won't be going to Worldcon; that's always a hard decision to make. My husband wasn't in fandom when the prices were low (we're approaching our first anniversary), so we need a membership for him. We have our own fiscal challenges, and are looking for a good deal. How about halfway between what you paid and the current rate? We are interested in only one adult membership; I'll understand if you prefer to sell as a lot. (Psst -- consider Readercon for summer SF fun!)

selling one is better than none; let me ponder this.

do you want the voting rights to transfer with the membership? if so, factor that $40 in; if not, I guess I'll vote...I bought the membership at either N4 or Torcon3, whichever con had site selection for LA Con...I think that was the second-to-last 3 year cycle site selection, in which case, it was TorCon...can you put together the historical facts and currency conversion rates and figure out what I paid for the membership in 2003? ;)

Re: well...

Sorry, we've made other plans for the membership. Good luck in selling it!
