Latest house pictures--very exciting!
This was a huge week...the logs were cleaned so that they looked "fresh off the truck." The guy did an amazing job. Then the stain went on. The color right after application is very intense, but it darkens and mellows in the sun. We only agreed to it after seeing a house one year after application...it comes out really nice. Honestly, I kind of like it just as it is, but I know it's only going to get better.

The next round of pictures will have shingles on the roof, and might have stonework going on the chimney.

Quinn rescued a toad from the open distribution box of the septic system. I'm sad to say that it was too late for the unidentifiable rodent that had fallen in and gotten trapped. Unfortunately, Uncle Jeremy discovered what it was by poking it. Say it with me, now: "Ewwwww!"

We are going to move this bathroom wall over and shrink the closet a bit - we need the space in the bathroom more.

Pam's brother Jeremy took on the task of moving and staging the remaining logs to be milled; that enabled us to mill 20 logs in a day.
