Da workout...travel...
Last night, 60 mn, 159 bpm, cross-trainer, 847 cal, 7.3 mi...was a little tired--didn't match my best 60 min results from last week. s'ok. time @ heart rate is the key, right? strenght workout was likewise acceptable...legs strong (288 lbs on the leg extension), chest and arms acceptable. must do more there. abs were okay, I only got through two sets at 96 pounds on the old cruncher before deciding it was time to call it a night.

today, off to Virginia after the morning round of meetings, etc.

The last week or two I've been such a lump. Working late or just too damned hot to go to Curves.

But I've been swimming a lot, which (hopefully) helps.

swimming is good!

you just stick with it and listen to your body, unless it is saying "be a lump, Ellen." If that's the case, just tell that body to get with the program; remind it that the mind is in charge. ;)

Will you be in Virginia for your birthday? Will we have a chance to see you?

I should be able to make lunch, but it would be just me. Lunch on your actual birthday? Or another day? Pam also suggested Thursday evening. I think we would both be able to come to that, as long as it is not too early in the evening.

You may miss my parents, but we'll be home (they have a play rehearsal)...I have no problem with one birthday celebration after another! ;)

Your parents are in a play?

We could probably come over at 7:00 p.m. or so (I'll have to check with my sweetie). Should we bring ice cream or some other dessert?

This week is excessively nasty on the schedule side; we have an after-work meeting tomorrow, and Fri PM need to head back to NJ (or maybe early Sat, still debating) bc our neighbors are getting married this weekend. We have to come back here Sun PM for 2 more days here. I will be exhausted.
I think Pete might be willing to give up the gym in order to have birthday/father's day celebration Thurs; do you want to come over for that? btw, I left you a message last weekend, but I was outside most of the weekend so not around 'phones much.

Hugs!

Your schedule does sound pretty crazed. Too much back and forth and back and forth.

Thursday evening would probably work for us, as long as it is 7:00 p.m. or later. We could just come over for dessert if that's less complicated.

I did get your phone message, but our weekend schedule was pretty full, and I didn't have a chance to call back. Also, I got my burning question answered. I do have other, not burning questions, though.
