What the heck is it...
It seems like half a dozen people on my friends list have had food eaten or thrown out at work within the last week...

Is it International Your Coworker Doesn't Really Need That Food week, and I missed the memo?

Someone posted a note on the fridge here at work:

To whoever ate my dinner: Please replace it. My wife says I'm too skinny already.

jcfarris just unplugged the fridge, apparently...the ultimate "oh, it's not safe for me to keep my lunch here? now it's not safe for you to, either!"

I'm an evil admin assistant. Every week, I throw out all the food that the people in my division have not labelled with their name and a date less than one week ago.

apparently...

most people this happened to HAD labelled it...

apparently in one case someone instructed the cleaning crew to clean it over the weekend, so they just cleaned out everything--including the lunch placed in there that day by someone working the weekend.

(a note on the fridge saying "EVERYTHING left in the fridge this weekend will be thrown out" might have been nice!)

That's a good thing. I mean, if you strike terror in the hearts of professors over mere administrative gaffes...

You probably didn't miss the memo-- you just received it and it got stuck under the insanely high piles of paperwork they expect you to do before bothering with said memo... :)

Didn't feel like leaving any comments this weekend, did you? *grin*

It's kinda neat to see Peter-day unfold as it occurs...

Oh, much more the positive sense. It's kind of nice to know that I'm not the only one rushing about like a hampster on speed. It's also kinda nice to see how your life is going.

:), likewise...

Okay: mutual goal--getting our respective families together...your state, or mine? (Or just wait until we're all in VA again!)
