Can't compete...
Post-pam prettypammie and happypete just can't compete with the generally > 1:1 "big kid/grownup to munchkin" ratio that prevailed at Arisia all weekend in baby-sitting...She and I are trying to have our post-con "chill-out" day, and Quinn is running around like a complete mad-man!

I know what you mean--Rocky and Princess (especially Rocky) took about a week to decompress after being at my mom's over the holidays, where there were 5 adults/2 kids most of the time, and the rest of the time we were at Hubby's brother's house, where there were lots of older kids to do his bidding/let him play with all their cool big kid toys/paint his toenails blue.

Hey there!

Quinn really seemed to like you--you even got * hugs *!

How many hours did you work? It seemed like the answer was all of them. Did you manage to have any time outside of baby-sitting? Did you have fun (both in and out)?

:) actually, i only worked 8 hours officially. the rest of the time i just hung out. i think i've decided i'm not much of a panel/event person, but i love the people and the kids. it was a good time both in and out of babysitting.

sounds like you had fun as well!

Oh, yeah...it definitey made us feel less guilty that Quinn was BEGGING us to let him go to babysitting...much easier to enjoy the con that way.

state says we have to have a 7:1 or 9:1 (kid:adult) ratio. i say that we should have, at most, 5:1. which is about what it usually ends up being.
but, this year we had an electronic babysitter, so it seemed like a whole lot less!
Quinn's a good kid, even if he likes to hang out in poopy diapers! *grin*

are you kidding?! he's got it made!
i mean really!... once you potty train, they start expecting you to do all sorts of grown up stuff... like cutting up your own food, and eating all your veggies, and doing homework, and chores, and....
