Ahh! Internet in the rooms! Luxury!|
Quinn stories: taught him how to play tic-tac-toe...he picked it up swiftly, earning a draw in his second game (with a little coaching). He's enjoying all the grown-up attention at baby-sitting...we came to pick him up at 11:30, expecting sacked-out baby...nope, he was busy building houses with Matt and Ira.
He was happy to see M'ia (flyingwolf), of course. M'ia may have graduated to "Auntie M'ia" status in Quinn's eyes, who knows...he definitely likes her. He started running off with her while daddy did "boring" checking-in duties at Programming Ops.
I really wanted to go partying last night, but knew I was exhausted and wanted to be fresh for my 10 a.m. "Who's reading your blog?" panel. Hopefully all of you at Arisia will be there...if you're awake, that is.
prettypammie and I got to talk to Ian and Kit last night--it was so nice to see them again. They're just good people and fun to hang out with. Hopefully we can meet in the middle between our place and Brooklyn some-time and get together. That would be cool, to say the least.
Okay, time for me to stop posting and start getting ready for breakfast!
I have been to Arisia only once. It was fun from what I got to see of it. I broke out Friday night with Chicken Pox. *grins*

Free internet in the hallway is good too. :-)
I got found Brian & Alia (ok... I looked at someone who from behind looked like Brian and dismissed him - and Alia yelled at me. Seems 8 weeks ago or so he shaved off his beard (never saw him without)
We eventually made it to the con suite. Then I hung out with Raq-ani - you didn't miss much, the parties were boring, but it was after midnight at that point.

Re: Asleep at midnight?
yeah, seriously...I was just not up to partying this weekend, more's the pity!
definitely cool, I hope you're having much fun.
When you get back, lets do dinner, email me to let me know what times are best for you and I'll x-ref to my calendar.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday...
with Friday and Saturday probably being the ideal...

I feel weird missing Arisia this year... but finances screamed at me to be somewhat responsible this year after paying for a car accident. *sigh*
Hopefully next year...

we missed you...
but, depressingly, I missed a huge number of people who were there, too..
Arisias, like Worldcons, are so big that it's easy to spend the whole weekend and not run into a specific person you might like to see--at least not without careful planning!
