I give up...

I applied a "Flicker" tool [meant for comparing images of cell cultures]. These are either the same picture, saved twice with different compression ratios, or two pictures taken very close together in time. The only difference I could see in the flicker was a slight movement of hair, and a slight change in the leaves in the background. It was so small that it could very easily be JPEG compression artifacting, and not actual differences.
