You stayed up to talk with the mouse, of course.

If only Chessie were up to doing a long car ride. Yummy micies. Maybe when it's cooler out since I suspect that's part of the problem.

gumdrops work too. and aren't as messy as peanut butter. Nice and sticky though. Break one in half and jam it on there. I got one once with his teeth IN the gumdrop.

Because of our pet (hamster), we only use live traps here. And mouse trapping is the only reason there is peanut butter in our apartment, since I am severely allergic to it. But it is the best mouse bait. We trap them and release them into the wild.

Where do you get your live traps?

I must admit to feeling some guilt over killing the little guys, no matter how murderous I feel when I find mouse poop in my pantry, on our dishes...

We got ours from a store called CountryMax. It's a local farm and garden store. You might also be able to get them from the SPCA, I'm not sure. Or from Havahart, at http://www.redhillgeneralstore.com/traps.htm

Good luck with it. Just remember, you want to take them on a couple mile trp before you let them go.

Heh...no point trapping them and letting them go so close they come right back "home."

We got one at home depot once. Then we found the mouse dead under something so we never actually used it. Maybe you need to make your home less hospitable. Mine's scarey. Even my ants died without me having to do anything.
