I actually got a "Sqee!" from Cory when I told him in chat that I'd loved Little Brother and that it was on my Hugo nominee list! I hadn't thought of Cory as someone who'd sqee -- except maybe about his daughter!

I've often heard writers refer to their works in a way much like one feels about one's children.

Which reminds me...I got my Hugo pin...time to do something about that.

Little Brother is awesome but I enjoyed his series of essays even more. His latest fiction "When Someone Comes To Town, Someone Leaves" is... bizarre in a very surrealistically mundane way.
