Which converter box to buy
Our DTV converter box coupons expire on 9/5/2008. There are a metric ton of converter boxes out there. I've already figured that analog pass-through is probably a must, as I doubt our TiVo will understand how to work with a DTV converter box--but aside from that, what are the pros and cons for those of you that have already made the switch to a DTV converter box?

NTIA-Approved & Available

These NTIA-approved CECBs currently are available in retail stores, according to manufacturers and retailers. Consumers should call ahead to retailers to make sure that the boxes are in stock.

I would double-check with TiVo. I suspect, though I admit I am not certain, that there should not be any compatibility problems with any converter box. I say this because it only pays attention to the signal as it reaches the TiVo itself; and my TiVo works fine on both analog and digital cable signals.

You don't need the box if you have cable or satellite, but I suspect you knew that.

Give TiVo a call.
