“Good morning LiveJournal friend. Well I did something I haven't done in a long. I voted democratic at the Primary ballot and I put the lever for Obama for La Mama. My mama's going in for major surgery today and I'm really hoping it goes well. I'm thinking about her. And she and I talked about it last night watching the coverage and listening to the debates and you know I actually think I can get behind the man. Yes we had some disagreement's, some fundamental economic disagreement's but I feel like he's better than all the other ___ to have a chance of winning this year. So I think he can help us on the world stage and our international position not because because of policies but as a man with presidential character. I think ___ probably the better states woman but Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton just seems to dynastic(?). Anyway so that's where it landed. Everyone thinking good thoughts for my Mom and go out there and vote for Obama ___.”

jjblum ran into your mom at UUCR on Sunday, and relayed the news of the surgery to me. She's in my thoughts. I hope all goes well!

As someone with Socialist leanings, I wouldn't have even thought to recommend Obama to a gun-toting Libertarian.(yes, I mean you)

Hope your mom fairs well.

I'm pretty well safe...

...he'll score some easy points by passing--or at least proposing--some "easy" laws like the magazine ban back on the books, but to get much more than that isn't going to happen.

Bottom line is that I've seen enough presidents to not worry too much about their policies, and I've started to worry more about their character and intelligence.

I'm so glad that I won't be old enough to vote for *this* election. It should be interesting, to say the least...

I hope everything is going well for your mom!
