A test... - A Suburbs Boy Living a Country Life

I uploaded this post to both LiveJournal and Blogger using Semagic's multiple posting feature.
I'm not going to bother with a poll--I'll just put out an RFC: Should I dip my toes in other blogging sites? If so, which ones and why?
I doubt I'll ever leave LJ for good, because with a permanent account I'm going to have features, capabilities, and storage here that I'm unlikely to get elsewhere without paying a recurring charge. That said, maybe I should experiment. Semagic makes it relatively painless to "multi-post."

What, exactly, do you hope to achieve by using another blogging tool?

Personally, i have disliked other blogging tools i've used due to lack of functionality and/or sucky interfaces. I have a blogger account i use sometimes, but it's a lot harder to use than LJ, and does not do as much. I've a few others i toy with, though again, not very satisfying.
I'm using Blogger for posting interesting links instead of LJ. It's mostly for protection and convenience; I don't run the risk of being suspend on LJ for content I don't control and I don't have to remember another username and password for Blogger.
