What a loss. The driver has no doubt forgotten--or at least moved on with his life. You get to live with the consequences forever. Grrr..

Yeah .. that kinda shit sucks, but you learn to move on too - only time it really sucks if the few times I've been around horses - that's when it really hurts. I want to ride, but know i can't - the one time I did ride when I was in hawaii I ended up bedridden for a couple of days cause it hurt so bad. Most of the time I don't think about it too much - it could have been a lot worse.

Don't write horses out of your life yet.
First, consider driving. Lots of people who loved to ride and either developed physical problems or had injuries incompatible with riding have taken up driving.
Second, what sort of riding did you do in Hawaii? Was it supervised by a trainer or therapeutic riding instructor who is knowledgeable about your physical condition? You probably can't ride the way you used to; I can't do things the way I did at 15 because I wasn't doing it the best way but it didn't matter bc I was 15 and strong. Now I have someone to teach me - I'm back to riding at a walk, until my posture is totally fixed.

If I wanted another bill right now I'd consider getting a horse and boarding with you guys... Since last weekend Liam has asked (daily) "Want go ride horsies!!" UGH!

Have LOTS of debt to pay off before I can *really* start enjoying reduction in bills. Living off of credit cards for a year hasn't been pretty on the ol' debt:income ratio. :(
