My mom wanted to launch her rocket yesterday
I have to say it was a gorgeous day for it. I'll post the latest house pictures in a bit--lots of excitement there, too. Yesterday sew_200e came with us to see the progress and fire off her rocket. After touring the house, we assembled her launch platform, gaged the wind, and set up shop in a corner of the new riding arena. There were a couple of mis-fires--I forgot to bend the igniter wires up and the alligator clips were shorting across the blast deflector--but finally we got under way. prettypammie caught one of the most exciting model rocketry shots I've ever seen--click on the picture to see the larger-size version. You can actually see the flame atop the exhaust plume!

Great pics! I used to do model rocketry, long ago. I loved it.

BTW, what kind of camera do you have?
